Biography

A Parable for Destruction was formed in February 2006 by Dave Kelsey, Aaron Schuman and Chris Stotler.

The Original Idea was for Chris to play bass and all three individuals would share vocal duties however, they all agreed that finding a bass player would be more beneficial so Chris could focus on improving his vocal ability.

In the summer of 2006, the band recorded their title track “A Parable for Destruction.” However that was the only progress the band had made due to scheduling conflicts and a place to practice let alone Chris went off to college at Central Michigan University.

Flash forward to the summer of 2007 when Chris came back home to jam, the band made a little bit of progress compared to 2006. By the summer of 2007, the band had 3 songs recorded and at least 4 more songs in the making. Unfortunately, with Chris back off to school, the band is in somewhat of a hiatus but they look forward to 2008 with aspirations of playing countless shows

Our Drummer came up with the idea to call it “A Parody For Destruction” and we all liked that idea, but we figured “A Parable For Destruction” sounded better

We have not played any shows however, we played at a mud bog party where we only had one complete songs and the rest were free jams….it went pretty damn good considering I didn’t know half of the shit they were playing!!

Q. What have been the high and low points of the band so far?

The high points would be the Studio recording of “A Parable For Destruction, and our other two completed songs. The low point is that we haven’t played any shows due to me being gone for college during the school year. However, that will not stop us from playing

Q: You are the first band to play a song on another planet for aliens that have never heard our music, you can play any song ever written, what would you play? Why?

We would play our original music because that is what we enjoy playing the most…maybe a few covers in our unique style
